Admission to MBBS, BDS, BSc Nursing and other health programmes in Nepal is through a single Common Entrance Examination (CEE) conducted by the Medical Education Commission (MEC). One exam, one merit list for the whole country.
Official body: Medical Education Commission (mec.gov.np). Registration, exam, result and the unified merit list are managed there.
How It Works
- Meet eligibility — +2 / A-Level in the science stream with the required percentage in Biology, Physics, Chemistry.
- Register online for the CEE via the Medical Education Commission when the notice opens.
- Sit the CEE — an MCQ exam at the +2 level (Botany, Zoology, Physics, Chemistry, and MAT/English depending on programme), with negative marking.
- Check your result & merit rank on the MEC portal.
- Admission by merit — colleges/programmes are allocated by rank and choice, under MEC rules and fee structure.
Preparation Tips
- Focus on Biology (Botany + Zoology), Physics and Chemistry from the +2 syllabus.
- Practise past CEE papers and full-length timed mocks.
