Most Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA / नेपाल विद्युत प्राधिकरण) bills can now be checked and paid online through mobile wallets and banking apps — you just need your customer/SC number from your bill or meter.
You need: your SC No. (Consumer/Customer number) and the counter/office shown on your electricity bill or meter card. These identify your connection when paying online.
How to Pay Online
- Open a payment app — a mobile wallet (eSewa, Khalti, IME Pay etc.) or your bank's app.
- Go to the electricity / NEA section and select your NEA office/counter.
- Enter your SC (customer) number from the bill.
- Check the outstanding amount shown for your connection.
- Pay and save the digital receipt / reference for your records.
How to Just Check the Bill
The same apps let you view the current due amount without paying — enter your office and SC number to see the outstanding balance and recent bill.
💡 Pay before the due date to get the rebate/discount some payments offer and to avoid late fees. Keep your SC number saved for quick monthly payment.
Reading Your Bill
- SC No.: your unique consumer number.
- Units consumed: the difference between this month's and last month's meter reading.
- Due date: pay by this date to avoid penalties.
