The Employment Permit System (EPS) lets Nepalis work legally in South Korea. It is a government-to-government system run through the EPS Korea Section under the Department of Foreign Employment — there is no manpower agency and no large agent fee. Higher wages make it very competitive.

Step-by-Step EPS Process

1. Watch for the EPS notice — the EPS Korea Section announces registration for the EPS-TOPIK test (by sector: manufacturing, agriculture, fishing, construction).
2. Register and sit the EPS-TOPIK — a Korean language test (reading & listening). You must pass to move ahead.
3. Pass the skills test — a competency/skills test for your sector after the language test.
4. Enter the job roster — passers are placed on the roster sent to Korean employers.
5. Employer selection — Korean employers choose workers from the roster; selection is not guaranteed and depends on demand.
6. Sign the contract & medical — once selected, complete the employment contract and health check.
7. Pre-departure training and visa processing.
8. Fly to Korea and complete on-arrival training.
