If you are a salaried employee, part of your pay goes into the Employees Provident Fund (कर्मचारी सञ्चय कोष / EPF) and sometimes the Citizen Investment Trust (नागरिक लगानी कोष / CIT). You can check your accumulated balance online.

Where to check: the Provident Fund member portal/app (Sanchaya Kosh), the CIT portal, and increasingly the Nagarik App where your records are linked.

How to Check Your EPF (Provident Fund) Balance

  1. Register/log in on the Employees Provident Fund member portal or app with your details.
  2. Verify your identity (member ID / details as required).
  3. View your accumulated balance, contributions and statement.

How to Check Your CIT Balance

  1. Log in to the Citizen Investment Trust member portal.
  2. Enter your account/member details.
  3. View your CIT balance and contribution history.

💡 Keep your member IDs safe. If you change jobs, make sure your new employer deposits to the same account so your balance keeps growing in one place.
