Flood & Landslide Safety
- Move to higher ground early if water is rising or a warning is issued — don't wait.
- Never cross flooded roads or rivers on foot or by vehicle — fast water is deceptively strong.
- Stay away from fallen electric lines and unstable slopes / cracked ground (landslide risk).
- Keep citizenship, passport and key documents in a waterproof bag, plus a charged phone and power bank.
- After a flood, boil or purify drinking water and avoid wading in floodwater where possible.
- Follow your local authority and official warnings — evacuate when told to.
Finding a Missing Person
Contact Nepal Police (100), your local ward/authority, and the Nepal Red Cross Society, which runs family-reunification (Restoring Family Links) services. Share accurate details and a recent photo through official channels only.
How to Donate Safely
