Document Attestation & NOC for Use Abroad
How to get your Nepali certificates, transcripts and other documents attested so they're accepted abroad — including the MoFA attestation and the Ministry of Education NOC for study.

In short: get your document verified by the issuing body (and the Ministry of Education for academic papers / study NOC), then attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), then the destination country's embassy if required.
Two things people mix up: Attestation vs NOC
- Attestation — official verification that your document is genuine, so a foreign employer, university or embassy will accept it.
- NOC (No Objection Certificate) — from the Ministry of Education, required for many students going abroad to study; often needed for the visa and foreign-currency approval.
The Usual Order
- Issuing authority verification — e.g. your university/board verifies academic certificates and transcripts.
- Ministry of Education — for academic documents and the study-abroad NOC (moest.gov.np).
- Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) — attests the document for international use (mofa.gov.np).
- Destination embassy — some countries require their embassy to attest after MoFA.
