How is broker commission calculated in NEPSE?
It's a percentage of the transaction amount on a slab basis — about 0.36% up to Rs 50,000, down to 0.24% above Rs 1 crore — with a minimum of Rs 10. It applies on both the buy and the sell side.
What is the capital gains tax on shares in Nepal?
For individuals: 7.5% if held under 365 days, 5% if held 365 days or more. For institutions: 10%. CGT applies only to your profit and is deducted at sale.
What is the DP charge and SEBON fee?
The DP (Depository Participant) charge is Rs 25 per company per transaction. The SEBON regulatory fee is 0.015% of the transaction amount. Both apply on buying and selling.
What is my breakeven price?
It's the sell price at which your profit is exactly zero after all charges and tax. The calculator shows it so you know the minimum price to sell without a loss.
